Publishing at Crescent & Quill
Crescent & Quill publishes a focused list of books each year across business, nonfiction, fiction, and imaginative work for younger readers. Our publishing program is intentionally selective, shaped by editorial care rather than scale.
Every title is published under the Crescent imprint and developed in accordance with the Crescent Standard. We work closely with authors and creators throughout the editorial process, from initial selection through publication, with attention to clarity, structure, and lasting relevance.
We believe publishing is not only about producing books, but about supporting work thoughtfully and positioning it to endure.

We remain open to projects that do not fit neatly within categories, provided they align with our editorial approach.

Crescent & Quill publishes a limited annual list in order to maintain close editorial involvement at every stage. Selection is deliberate. Projects are evaluated for voice, coherence, integrity, and the relationship they establish with their intended reader.
Once acquired, each title moves through a defined editorial pathway that includes developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and production review. Design and production decisions are made with equal care, with attention to format, durability, and readability.
While our work begins with the page, some projects invite a longer life beyond it. Select titles are developed with future adaptation in mind, including film, television, and animation. These projects are approached thoughtfully, with clear rights structures and respect for the integrity of the original work.
Not every book is intended to travel beyond its initial form. Our responsibility is to recognize which stories should, and to steward them accordingly.

We publish a limited number of titles each year in order to maintain close involvement throughout development and production. Authors can expect thoughtful editorial engagement, transparent communication, and a shared commitment to quality at every stage.
Our agreements are structured with care, with attention to rights, responsibilities, and the future life of the work. Where appropriate, we support authors in positioning their books for extended opportunities, including foreign editions, audio, and adaptation.
Crescent & Quill is not a fit for every project or every author. We believe this clarity serves both our authors and our readers.
